I plan on finishing 3 projects this month for the Charming Girls' Quilt Club. First up is the zig zag quilt for the Old Red Barn Quilt Along...I have a long way to go with this one. I only have half the blocks cut...but I'm sewing the first half together...not as easy as I thought matching all those points...and batiks are not the easiest fabric to put pins in. I plan to have this top done and hopefully the batting and backing. I don't think I will get to the quilting, but you never know.
Second is a fun little scene from Cherry House Quilts Quilt Along...Little Bouquet. I kind of went off track a bit and made this farm type scene and added different flowers...I still have alot to do. I have to make the stems and leaves, as well as a few more flowers...then batting and backing and quilting. It will be done by the end of the month.

Third project is the Leafy Treetops Quilt Along with http://whosies.blogspot.com/2009/07/sew-along-in-leafy-treetops.html
I have to finish the borders on this and add the applique tree limbs, leaves and birds, as well as batting, backing and quilting.

Whew..............That's it for now...have a great day!

  2. You are ambitious! I like that!! Gives you something to work towards. I can't wait to see the zig zag quilt in the Batiks. I was smart to not join that quilt along. Too much going on as it is. Have fun and get sewing!

Anyhoo, I just love the Little Bouquet quilt. I mean LOVE it! Especially the flowers - sunflowers. I can't wait to see it done. Have fun quilting!
